HOW TO STYLE A CHRISTMAS TABLE, PART 2
CHRISTMAS TABLE STYLING SERIES, PART 2: WHITE AND PAIRED WITH WARM YELLOW ACCENTS
This week’s table inspiration is simple and natural - all white, with dried orange slices and beeswax candles adding warm and organic feel.
(Check out Part 1 for an Elegant Black and Gold Christmas table inspiration)
I used my small round table to show how you can create something really pretty even when the space is limited - the hanging little installation works as a focal point and looks so lovely above the table. This look is just as easy to recreate if you have a long rectangular table, in which case I would suggest adding three clusters of candles and two hanging pieces, or vice versa; placing the hanging installations above the table in-between the candle clusters to create a harmonious rhythm.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
White tableware. I used this beautiful scalloped dinner set from Wink and Elbow
White linen tablecloth. Find similar here.
Preferably, gold cutlery. I used my own (slightly boring) silver cutlery, but I’m planning to order this gold cutlery set on time for Christmas- gold is so elegant and pretty, and works with any colour scheme (unless you’re going for silver and chrome, of course).
Pretty glassware. I used these gold wine glasses from Wink and Elbow
Rattan place mats. I used these place mats from Wink and Elbow
White linen napkins. I use these napkins from Wink and Elbow
Beeswax candles. Find similar here.
Brass candlesticks. Find similar here. You could use three or five taper candles in mixed heights and add some pillar candles to create depth and dimension.
The rattan place matt accents the white plates and visually separates them from the white tablecloth, and adds to that paired back natural look I’m going for. I rolled the napkin and tied it with a twine, and added a little Christmas tree twig (you can use rosemary instead). The dried orange slice works perfectly as a finishing accent, making the whole set-up look so fun and earthy.
I added the Christmas tree twigs and dried orange slices at the base of the candlesticks. The green adds a discreet splash of colour and anchors the centerpiece, allowing the yellows to shine so warmly.
HOW TO CREATE THE HANGING CENTERPIECE
YOU WILL NEED:
Metal hoop, I used this one from Amazon.
Scissors.
Floristry wire, find similar here. I used the wire to attach the Christmas tree branches and to hang the orange slices.
Command hooks for hanging the centerpiece from the ceiling. I used these. They are pretty amazing - the centerpiece is light and the hooks hold it so well. You can attach it to the ceiling in the right spot and remove after Christmas with no damage done. I use the same hooks to hang my Christmas stars, and I also use them for other decor bits all year round. Please mind that whatever you are hanging is light enough and in case it falls (it hasn’t happened to me, but anyway, just in case) it can’t doo any damage.
Dried orange slices. It’s so easy to do - cut the oranges in thin slices, pat them dry, and put them in the oven on a baking paper on 80 degrees Celsius for about 3 - 4 hours, or until done.
Christmas tree branches - foraged or, if foraging is not an option, you might try to ask in Christmas tree selling places for the cut-off branches. They will dry out eventually, but they should last a week or so without water before they start shedding. Alternatively, use rosemary.
METHOD

Please let me know if you have any questions and I’d love to see how you get on if you use this idea.
Tune in next Thursday for Part 3!
